Second year students who did exceptionally well in their first year were employed by DUT's Professor Eyono Obono to work on a C# windows forms application. The purpose of the project was to develop a windows forms application in C# that would teach African indigenous languages. On completion, the application would be taken to High schools in which the developers used to go to and be demonstrated to High School learners in the hopes to inspire them to pursue a career in IT and study at Durban University of technology.
